An Open letter to Benny Hinn

(This letter has been personally been sent to Brother Hinn
and Bro. M.A. Varghese of India)

To Brother Benny Hinn,
 
“Greetings to you in the sweet name of Jesus Christ”

I’m an unknown bondservant of the Lord Jesus Christ, witnessing Him among the un-reached people of Northern India. I thank God for saving me and anointing me with the Holy Spirit. I cannot adequately express my gratitude to God for calling me for the ministry and entrusting me the precious gospel of salvation.
 
Since 1971, the Lord has been using me to preach the gospel among the un-reached Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs of Northern India. In Nepal (since 1980), China (since 1986), and Philippines (since 1986) the Lord has been using me to preach the gospel. Several times I have had occasion to preach the gospel in Arab countries. Unworthy as I am, the Master established several churches in India, Nepal, Philippines and China, using me as a tool in His hands.

By God’s grace I had the opportunity to preach the gospel to the pleasure-seekers of Miami Beach, Florida, U.S.A., through open air seashore preaching. There, twice I was arrested and taken into police custody, charging me of disturbing the peace of that area. Later, the Miami Police released me. When I went to China to preach the gospel I was taken into police custody and later released. In India, I was taken into police custody on many occasions and once put in prison for preaching the gospel. In India I was assaulted fourteen times for preaching the gospel to Muslim, Hindus, Sikhs and others.

This in no way implies my worthiness. On the contrary, I can only boast about my unworthiness. Through it all, the Lord held my hand and led me through the ‘valley of the shadow of death’. I live daily relying on Him for guidance and sustenance.

The Reason for This Letter
The Spirit of God commands me to write this open letter to you. Your book “Good Morning Holy Spirit” is right in so far as it explained that Holy Spirit is a person and that He is God. It is correct and I believe it and experience Him—the Holy Spirit in my day-to-day life. The Holy Spirit is leading me, guiding me, strengthening me and enabling me to march on in the midst of trials, persecutions, hardships, allegations, and blame. I honor Holy Sprit as God.

1.THE DIVINITY OF JESUS
I cannot agree with certain things you wrote in this book about Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit. You attributed great mysticism to Holy Spirit, while downgrading Jesus Christ to a helpless human and painting a picture where Holy Spirit is superior to Jesus.

1. The following passages from ‘Good Morning Holy Spirit’ will serve as instances:
   • Page 132, last paragraph,  “Let me share something… The Holy Spirit is not only God. He is also the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ.”
   • Page 133 Under subheading “Who is the Father”
   • “ Jesus Christ is a child of the Spirit. And just as earthly parents love their little baby, so the Holy Ghost loved the Lord
2. • Page 134- Last paragraph
   • “On earth Jesus was nothing less than a total man. He did not have ‘revelation knowledge’ without the voice of the Spirit. He could not move unless the Holy Sprit moved Him.
3. • Page 135 subheading “was Christ capable of sinning”
   “ Had He not offered himself through the Holy Ghost, He would not be accepted in the eyes of God the Father. Nor would He have endured the suffering of the cross. Had He not presented Himself through the Holy Ghost, His blood would not have remained pure and spotless. Let me add this. Had the Holy Spirit not been with Jesus, He may have likely sinned. That’s right. It was the Holy Spirit who was the power that kept Him pure. He was not only sent from heaven, but He was called the son of man- and as such He was capable of sinning. The fact that “He did not” does not mean that He could not. If you believe that Jesus was not able to sin, then why would Satan waste his time tempting Him? The devil knew what he was doing. Without the Holy Ghost Jesus may have never made it. Jesus actually offered through the Holy Ghost to remain sinless. He even depended on the Spirit to raise Him from the death grip of the grave.”

Dear Brother Benny Hinn, what blasphemy against Jesus Christ!  I humbly request you to revisit the Bible in humility, with a genuine desire to understand who Jesus Christ really is.

Please remember that Christ came to this earth at the fullness of time, according to God the father’s perfect will. It was also the Son’s perfect will to come into this world. (“He thought it not robbery; to be equal with God … and took upon him the form of a servant …” Phil: 2: 6-7) It was also the perfect will of the Holy Spirit that made the very conception of Jesus possible – “The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee.” Luke: 1:35 See, there was never a lack of agreement between Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Therefore, brother Benny Hinn there was no need for the Holy Spirit to fine-tune Jesus Christ to prevent Him from committing sin. Jesus Christ, the man was always in perfect harmony with the will of the Father and the Holy Spirit. The only occasion when there was any strain on that perfect harmony between Father Son and the Holy Spirit was in the garden of Gethsemane. Because his “soul was exceeding sorrowful, even unto death”. Jesus, as a perfect human being, was taking on Himself the sins of the whole world.

Jesus Christ through His life and ministry on this earth proved that He is God and at the same time perfect man—sinless man. If Jesus was able to commit sin then what is the difference between His birth and the birth of an ordinary human being? He was conceived by through the Holy Spirit. You exalted the Holy Spirit; but in that process, you brought down, Jesus Christ to the level of an ordinary human being.

This is BLASPHEMY. I pray to the God to bring conviction in your heart about this great sin of Blasphemy against Jesus Christ. 

2. THE TRUTH BEHIND THE WORLD HEALING CENTER AND INTERNATIONAL PARTNER
HEADQUARTERS

 While visiting Mindanao of Philippines, one Pastor gave me a copy of your big plan about your World Healing Center—A place of prayer… a place of power!!!
The following is a list of rewards you offered to different levels of donations you were seeking:

1. Healing Hall of Faith. Names will be recognized by a plaque if $30,000 is donated.
2. Healing Gardens. Names will be inscribed on the privacy walls surrounding healing scenes if $15.000 is donated.
3. Fountain of Healing:  Names will be inscribed on the beautiful fountain from which the waters will flow into the Healing Stream if $4000-8000 dollars donated.
4. The Healing Stream. The names of those who give the special gift of $2000 will be written on the stones on the banks of Healing Stream runs through the Healing Gardens.
5. The Eternal Flame of Healing: If a person gives $1500, the donation will be remembered at this special memorial to commemorate a loved one that has gone on before you, or to memorialize the names of family and friends.
6. Prayer Tower: If a person gives $150 or more as gift, his name will be a permanent part of the Prayer Tower reaching out to millions with the message of healing the ends of the earth.
7. Corner Stone Founder: Those who give $150.000 their names will appear on the cornerstones of the Peoples Cathedral of Healing.

The word of God very plainly says that this earth is going to be destroyed by fire. Then how can you make on this sinful and perishable earth an Eternal Flame of Healing? Is it not a wicked device to deceive the innocent people who do not know the word of God? What about your own conscience, Brother Benny Hinn? What answer you will give to the almighty God when you stand before His judgment throne?

3. ANOINTING FROM KATHRYN KHULMAN’S TOMB

The following quotation is from “Benny Hinn sermon, Double Portion Anointing, Part #3, Orlando Christian Center, Orlando, Florida April 7, 1991. From the series, 'Holy Ghost Invasion’. TV # 309”. Following quotation is your own statement.

“One of the strangest experiences I had a few years ago (was) visiting Ame’s tomb in California. This Thursday I’m on TBN. Friday I am gonna go and visit Kathryn Khulman’s tomb. It’s close by Ame’s in Forest Lawn Cemetery. I’ve been there once already and every so often I like to go and pay my respects cause this great woman of God has touched my life. And that grave, ugh? where she’s buried is closed they built-walls. It needs a key, and I’m one of the very few people who can get in. But I’ll never forget when I saw Ame’s tomb. It’s incredibly dramatic. She was such a lady, that her tomb has seven-foot angel bowing on each side of her tomb with a gold chain around it. As incredible as it is that someone felt a terrific anointing when I was there. I actually, I hear this, I trembled when I… when I visited Ame’s tomb, I was shaking all over. God's power would die with angels bowing on each side of her grave, it came all over me… I believe the anointing has binged over Ame’s body. I know this may be shocking to you.”

I firmly believe that Sister Kathryn Khulman’s Spirit is not there in her tomb. As per the word of God she is resting in the heavenly paradise with the other saints. The scripture does not give any indication that the Holy Spirit is present in the tomb of a believer. Holy Spirit is not working among dead people but moving among the living.
 
In your statement you said that you felt a terrific anointing when you were visiting her tomb. I do not question your experience.

My question is whether the terrific anointing you received at her tomb is from the Holy Spirit or from another Spirit as per 2 Corinthians 11:2-4. From the Spirit world, different kinds of Sprits are eagerly waiting to contact human being so that they may deceive them.

4. SLAYING IN THE SPIRIT
I understand that in your meetings thousands of people are slayed in the Spirit and they fall on the ground. I do not challenge the work of the Holy Spirit. Jesus said, “The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit” (John: 3:8).

The Spirit of God operates in the world according to His will and plan. As a human being I cannot direct the Holy Spirit, who is the third person of the Trinity. But I am sure that Father God, Son God Jesus Christ and God the Holy Spirit agree in everything and never go out of the pattern laid down in the Word of God. Because the author of the Bible is Father God Himself and that Word of God is Jesus Christ Himself and God the Holy Spirit wrote it through different people.  God cannot forsake His own nature of Holiness.

Sinners and saved alike, fall down in your meetings.  As per Ephesians 2:2,3 the prince of the power of the air dwells in the hearts of unbelievers. Sinners, before they are saved, before they even accept the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal savior and are cleansed by blood of the lamb thy share the same experience of falling down with the saved people. Yet the sinners are not saved nor are they committed to live a chaste lifestyle.

What is the secret behind it?  The secret is very clear to see.  Every human being has got his or her own spirit.  Through mediation or through concentration on the speeches of a person, the human spirit comes up on their forehead or on top of their head.  At that time, if a person with a superior spirit waves his hand or cloth, the person will become weak in his body and he will fall down.  At that time he will feel very light on his body. 
In India, leaders of different cults practice these methods and encourage people through their meditation and lectures to concentrate on their spirits and bring it to their forehead or top of their head and another spirit from the air establish contact with them through Kundilini or silver cord. 

With the help of another spirit, you can heal sick people, perform miracles, tell the names of the people with diseases and also arrange spirit travel from one place to another place and discover secret things.

Holy Spirit Convicts
When the Holy Spirit operates in the heart of the sinner, he may fall down and cry. But he will repent of his sins and accept the Lord as his personal savior.  When mighty anointing comes upon a believer who is filled with the Holy Spirit he may fall down, and roll on the ground and shout aloud because the human body may not be able to bear the mighty power that passes on to the body through the Holy Spirit.  By the grace of the Holy Spirit, I experienced this kind of anointing and power on many occasions.  I have experienced such power of the Holy Spirit whenever I was assaulted on account of preaching the gospel.
 
But in your meetings, people fall down, get up after few minutes and we do not see the work of the Holy Spirit in them.  If it is the true Spirit of God that operates in a sinner, he will certainly be convicted of sins, he will repent of his sins and the work of the Holy Spirit becomes noticeable in his life.  We do not see such convictions in the hearts of people.  They fall down, get up after a few minutes and go back to their homes saying that they got a new experience but continue to live in sin without any conviction. 

This move of the Spirit deceives people from true conviction of sins.  People get a feeling that they are touched by God but alas! They continue to live far away from God.  I believe that this kind of movement is a deceit and a counterfeit of the true work of Holy Spirit.

5. THE COMMUNION IN THE COMMUNION
The book – “The Blood” written by you explains many things about the blood of Jesus Christ but in chapter seventeen from page 152 to 164 you have mentioned several things which are not according to the word of God.  Especially your experience while taking Lords Supper with forty-nine nuns in a Roman Catholic convent is very curious.  These are your words in page 154 are as follows:

“All forty-nine nuns, along with my friends and me, went to the newly built prayer chapel.  The nuns began worshipping the Lord, singing in the spirit and blessing the Lord for about half an hour.  The sisters gave several words of prophecy that encouraged me.  By then I was on my knees crying because I sensed such a tremendous presence of the Lord there.  It was an anointing that I had never before experienced in a communion service, not even in my own church.  It was a divine, powerful presence of God that I can’t describe except to say, “Jesus walked into that room”.

Just as they were finishing that time of worship, I began to feel numbness in my arms and chest.  I didn’t know that the Mother General had just gone to the table and picked up the communion wafer…as I was kneeling and praising the Lord with my hands extended directly in front of me, the Mother General put the wafer in my mouth.  At that moment I felt a fire literally go through me, and as that took place something else amazing happened.  I sensed on the tips of my fingers something like a robe-a soft, silky fabric…I moved my hands closer toward each other.  Then I was stopped for I could not move them any closer.  Something was there in front of me.  I felt what seemed like a person’s body, its difficult to describe and even harder to understand.  The experience I had that evening as I knelt there in prayer was unlike anything I had ever known…after that communion service, I couldn’t quit singing.  The whole night I felt as if I were floating”.

Brother, I do not challenge your experience on that occasion.  On the authority of the Word of God, I can clearly tell you that the spirit that worked there at that moment was not the Holy Spirit at all.  It is another spirit.  If you say that was the true Holy Spirit then you must admit that praying to Mother Mary, praying to dead saints and all the other rituals of Roman Catholic Church are true and according to the Word of God.

God gave me opportunities to minister the Word of God to the Roman Catholic Fathers (Priests), mothers and nuns.  Some of them accepted the Lord as their personal savior, took water baptism and were filled with the Holy Spirit.  Some of them gave up their robes and are serving the Lord with us, according to the Word of God.
  
I know the spirit that is working in Roman Catholic Religion and If you or millions of other people like you say that it is true Holy Spirit, I and all true disciples of Jesus Christ who honor the Bible, as the true word of God, shall NEVER accept it.  You and your followers may say it is the spirit of God.  But I would like to publicly state that it is not at all the true Holy Spirit but it is another spirit, the spirit of Ecumenism, the spirit of Mother of Harlots about whom Apostle John explained in Revelation chapter seventeen.

Brother, through this kind of preaching and experiences you are deceiving the true Church, the body of Christ and taking millions of innocent people to the fold of Roman Catholic Church.  May I also state here that I am aware of your agreement with Cardinal Sin, of the Roman Catholic churches of Philippines?

Dear brother, you are deceived.  I love you in the Lord.  You need deliverance.  If it were about personal sin, I would have never written a letter like this.  If any of your personal sins, if known to me, if the Spirit of God leads me, then I will come to you when you are alone and pray with you so that God may restore you. If this were something connected with your personal business, I would not have wasted my precious time to write a letter like this. 

But Brother! This is about the Church of God and I am a part of it.  The Holy Spirit compels me to write to you this letter.  Please accept this letter and take time with the Lord so that God may forgive you and wash you with His precious blood.  I am praying for you.  I hope many will pray for your deliverance.

Since this is a serious matter connected with the body of Jesus Christ, the Church of God, I am compelled to release this letter to the disciples of Jesus Christ so that they may escape from this great deception of satanic forces.
