Dear Saints, Greetings in the sweetest name of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. We are grateful for your prayers. Pst. Samuel has been released on bail from the prison this evening. Yesterday night he was in prison - the Jammu Central jail. The charges against him brought by the government is converting people and baptising them. They booked him under CRPC 55/109. Today morning the jail authorities did not allow his wife and daughter to meet him. When they asked the police for the FIR copy, they refused. The daughter and some brothers approached the DSP for the FIR copy but he also refused. They were supposed to give us a copy of the FIR, which is our right, but the whole police establishment was interested in harassing us. But, thank God our Father is still on the throne. Since there was no other option we had to apply for bail and by evening we got the bail. In the prison, they mentally tortured him a lot, they tonsured (shaved unevenly) his head, made him sweep the floors time and again. They did not allow him to sleep. They singled him out for mental torture, but they did not physically torture him. It is all a privilege to suffer for the sake of the Gospel. Now, he is out on bail - the case hearing is fixed for the 25th of May, 2009. Do continue to uphold him in your prayers. We are very much grateful for your prayers and support. There is still long way to go, we are not discouraged, these things only fire us up to move on and lift the name of Jesus. No matter how hard the enemy tries the battle is of the Lord. The victory is ours. We'll be updating you with the latest regularly. Yours in His battlefield
